During the semester each student is required to write six blog comments. At least one comment
is due during each designated two-week period. You are not limited to one
comment during that period, and you may write several, especially if an
interesting exchange takes place. However, every other comment will not count
for the total due that semester. They may, however, be considered in the
tabulation of the final grade.
Comment format:
- Not more than 100 words (a half-page double-spaced).
- Parenthetical references to the reading.
Comment content:
- Ask questions about the author’s post, asking about something overlooked or imprecisely articulated.
- Correct or amplify a point the author made.
- Extend the author’s line of thinking.
In general, the comments are where you are providing
feedback to the post’s author and engaging them on the issue. Imagine the comment as something you
would contribute to a conversation that the post’s author began.
